Working With Us

What we can provide are valuable, actionable insights that you can follow up with a financial advisor, lawyer, or other licensed professional as appropriate for the topic and your jurisdiction.

What to Expect

Here is a typical engagement flow for paid writing work of any kind:

1) We spend a few hours reviewing existing project materials (this is unpaid work).

2) We outline what value we feel we could add on a call. This is a good time to clarify any misunderstandings we may have and discuss alternative directions.

3) Following this discussion we write up a grant proposal that defines a scope of work with a rough breakdown of estimated hours for each section. If the work is approved the time spent on the call and the grant proposal is paid as a downpayment.

4) We create a Google doc for the work. You can check in at any time to see the current progress. We can always audit the change history to account for time spent. Certain other formats like LMS materials are less readily auditable.

5) We typically want to check in with the team every other week to review progress/discuss changes they’d like to see. You can expect 5 hours per week per resource (Logris/DoubtStars) so we’re reviewing 9 hours of work in an hour call for a total of 10 hours bi-weekly.

Our maximum engagement length is three months. Longer engagements will need to be broken down into chunks of smaller work. It’s not uncommon for Logris to have a 3-4 month backlog of work.

Logris standard rate is $400 an hour. We may start charging congestion pricing or delay commitments if a backlog becomes quite long.

We can provide insights on all of these fields as they affect your token and protocol designs. We can translate your values into actionable requirements, turn those requirements into product and governance designs, review these designs for their game-theoretic outcomes, provide example citations for many exciting DAOs that are pushing the state of the art in ways you may not be aware of from which you can scrape together an initial code base, and provide software architecture overviews and code reviews to bring these designs to life.

SECURITY AND ESTATE PLANNING

We have written about a spread of account security options you can personalize to your level of technical sophistication in our Weakest Link and Crypto Post-Mortem posts. Given how much is at stake and how nerve-wracking your first steps into this ecosystem can be it may bring you peace of mind to have a veteran review your solution. We can recognize and help you avoid numerous beginner mistakes that we have seen people make over the years which have cost them years of hard work.

We can review your physical security processes, any software your solution requires and how it was configured, your account partitioning strategies, open token allowances, your risk balance in terms of exposure to any given platform or asset, your recovery process including your documentation to whomever may be recovering your assets, any estate planning details you have such as trust structures, and we are even available personally as a retainer and point of contact to your will executor.

Visionary Landscape Work

We can provide landscape analysis and brainstorming such as our rate speculation or next gen NFT posts. This can help you to differentiate yourself from your competitors and form a strategy for technical investment in areas ripe for the next wave of innovation.

Live Feedback Sessions

We have occasionally sat on ‘shark tank’ style pitch groups to provide feedback on project ideas and bring the highest potential out of an idea and prevent expensive mistakes by first-check investment groups. This has included live judging for competitions such as the EVMaverick Hackathons.
